Katherine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and President of The Healing Arts Center of Richmond, specializing in a truly holistic approach to psychotherapy that integrates mind, body & spirit. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from Texas Christian University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She holds a Post-B.A. Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Richmond and is a 500 level Registered Yoga Teacher and a Reiki Master of Masters. She completed her Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University, as well as, Past-Life Regression Therapy training with Dr. Brian Weiss.
Katherine has over 20 years of experience in holistic psychotherapy and wellness, incorporating a diverse array of complementary therapies including EMDR, Reiki, Yoga, GIM, MARI, Energy & Chakra Psychology, Plant-Based Nutrition, and Past-Life Regression Therapy, with more traditional psychotherapy, to foster clients' healing, personal growth, and optimal wellness. She began her career specializing in trauma, abuse, and crisis intervention, gradually integrating holistic interventions, techniques and practices that resonated with her, and that she found to be particularly beneficial, into her work with clients and the development of her truly holistic approach to psychotherapy.
Empowering clients to confront fears and obstacles, and to process their core issues, trauma, and grief, through the direct experience and application of innovative complementary therapies, tools, and self-care practices that facilitate healing and growth, and help clients to fulfill their highest aspirations & potential, is her passion.
She has been creating and leading Vinyasa & The Vineyard retreats, and Healing Spaces customized, holistic retreats, workshops, & wellness programs, since 2011.
New 2022 offerings include: Reiki Restorative workshops; Practice Makes Peace, experiential, self-care workshops; as well as, Reiki I & II classes.
Katherine has been a registered LCSW supervisor for more than 10 years & offers both individual and group supervision for LCSW licensure.
